Hi I'm Michael D. Peacock, Founder/CEO/President of Southwest Business Development Consultants, LLC. I am deeply proud to state that my entire career has been dedicated to empowering American Indian and minority-owned businesses.
In 2019, under my visionary leadership, Southwest Business Development Consultants, LLC was awarded a multi-year grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA). This grant launched the Four Winds Diversified (FWD) Project, a groundbreaking initiative focused on business training, economic development, strategic partnerships, and job creation. The FWD Project supports American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and minority-owned businesses across rural reservations and underserved communities throughout the Southwest and nationwide.

With over 36 years of consulting experience, including 28 years dedicated to MBDA programs across New Mexico and the United States, Mr. Peacock combines expertise with a deep cultural commitment. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Business Management from the College of Santa Fe and is a 2008 graduate of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth – MBDA Partnership Program.
On April 1, 2022, the Albuquerque Business First publication showcased a feature interview with me as “New Mexicans To Know”. From 2017-2025, Southwest Business Development Consultants, LLC has been ranked in the Top Ten in Revenue for New Mexico Indigenous-Owned Businesses, ranking as high as #2. A proud member of the Pueblo of Laguna in New Mexico and of Cayuga, Seneca, and Mohawk descent, Mr. Peacock remains deeply committed to the advancement, prosperity, and empowerment of Indigenous communities nationwide.
